LE CLAPOTIS - Restaurant

Nice setting. We had the daily special. Rather bland, it lacked seasoning, and the potatoes... crunchy, they must have been undercooked, or perhaps it's modern cuisine and we don't know anything about it. We skipped dessert; over €10 for an ice cream sundae... unheard of.

Nice place near the port, decent menu, good food

On holiday in Carqueiranne, we were craving some delicious fish and wanted to treat ourselves. We ordered cocktails, mussels and fries in a creamy marinière sauce, salmon tartare with mango and avocado served with fries, and a 400g sole followed by lovely ice cream sundaes. Everything was perfect and absolutely delicious! The service was quick and the waiters were really friendly, and the setting overlooking the harbor is exceptional. We'll cherish these wonderful memories! Thank you 🙏 I recommend it 200%!

We had a wonderful meal. The waiters and waitresses, all students, were smiling, polite, and cheerful, and very professional for their young age. The food was perfect! This will be our go-to place in Carquairanne.

Little has changed on the menu over time. The person was very kind and helpful.

Hearty meal tonight. Delicious mussels and fries. A proper tarte tatin and attentive staff! Highly recommended.

July 14th Evening I hadn't made a reservation, I just walked all along the quayside. No tables available. My son was hungry. We arrived at Le Clapotis. Two young waiters hesitated... then a woman arrived. No problem. The children's menu was excellent and quick for my little guy. The waitress came back to ask if everything was alright. Thank you for your kindness and efficiency! You made a mother very happy.

They were very friendly and found us a table without a reservation. The service was pleasant and attentive, it's a shame the food didn't live up to it. The sea bass fillet was too dirty and the meat was mediocre, the salmon tartare was okay... but overall, it was very canteen-like, and given the prices, you expect better. The wine is disappointing, especially considering we're on the port. The pizzas were excellent, though. I won't go into detail about the desserts, but it's tourist season after all. 🤷‍♀️

I've honed my palate in many restaurants, and this one ticks all the boxes for an excellent restaurant. A warm welcome, delicious dishes made with top-quality ingredients. And to top it all off, a view of the sea and the harbor. Le Clapotis... paradise.

July 10, 2026 Very disappointing. The mussels with Roquefort cheese were bad and expensive at €21. The octopus tentacles were rubbery. Only the pasta with rouille sauce was good. For a €27 dish, it's a bit meager. I don't recommend it. Tourists say they're treated like idiots in the south, and I understand why.

The location and service were very pleasant. However, on Wednesday evening, everything went wrong for us. Let me explain: we ordered two pasta dishes with rouille sauce and octopus. Upon arrival, the dishes were cold. After refilling, the pasta was sticky and the octopus was rubbery and very difficult to cut. A friend ordered a seafood platter, and it wasn't any better; the food, which should have been hot, wasn't, and the entire dish was swimming in oil. Plus, they probably used the same bread as at lunchtime, which they changed at my request. When it came time to pay the bill, the restaurant owner offered us one of the two octopus dishes for free. Personally, I won't be going back, despite the waitress being quite pleasant.
